Thomas’s practice includes traditional labor law and employment law. Thomas represents unions in various industries in collective bargaining, arbitrations, proceedings before the NLRB, civil litigations, and various other matters, and is counsel to union welfare plans, including Taft-Hartley multi-employer plans. Thomas also represents employees—in an individual, group, or class basis—in work-related matters including minimum wage and overtime claims, discrimination claims, including pursuing such claims in state and federal court, in private arbitration, in administrative agency proceedings, and in settlement negotiations. Thomas has successfully represented numerous employees in the restaurant industry, building services and construction industry, and in academia.
Thomas is a graduate of New York University School of Law. At NYU School of Law, Thomas served as Managing Editor for the New York University Environmental Law Journal. Thomas received his undergraduate education at the University of Florida, where he graduated summa cum laude with a BS in finance and cum laude with a BA in philosophy.
